Shipyard Music Festival Announces Pause for 2024
This past week it was announced in The Scout newsletter, that The Shipyard Music Festival is pausing after 6 years of putting on a delightful music festival for Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri.
According to the announcement, it’s merely a pause and not a farewell – and we look forward to the festival making its return in 2025!
Taking note of the number of live musical acts and events being brought to Scout Music Hall, it’s easy to understand the pause. We here at Cape Rocks who have served on event planning committees for the City of Roses Music Festival/River City Music Festival and The Clark Terry Jazz Festival completely support the decision of the team to take a pause this year to regroup and breathe.
It’s been a delight to see the musical acts brought to the area and of course, featuring our hardworking local entertainers in such an amazing setting at the Shipyard Music Festival and Scout Hall in addition to the traditional bars and venues that have supported live local music for many years.
